- Born on 10th day of November, 1936. Completed schooling in I.C. Institution and graduated from K.N. College, both at Berhampore. Studied law in University College of Law, Calcutta. Joined the Bar of Berhampore (West Bengal) in 1961. Selected as Munsiff in 1967.
- Served in different capacities from Munsiff to District and Sessions Judge at different station. Served Metro Railway, Calcutta as Senior Law Officer and Andaman and Nicobar Administration as Judicial Secretary. Served the Registry of the High Court of Calcutta.
- Elevated to the Calcutta Bench of High Court on 27th September, 1995. Transferred to High Court of Sikkim since 16th October, 1995. Retired from service on 09.11.1998.
